Summary
This is a June 2019 AICE newsletter covering multiple topics related to Israel and U.S. foreign policy. The main articles discuss the Trump administration's decision to cut funding to UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency), an analysis of how President Obama failed to capitalize on a peace opportunity with Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad in 2009, and coverage of Joe Biden's historical relationship with Israel dating back to the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The newsletter also includes news items on the death of a Sobibor uprising survivor and historical references to Israel's 1981 bombing of an Iraqi nuclear reactor.
